The GEMS/Water Global Programme Coordination Unit (GPCU)  is responsible for the overall programme coordination and maintaining the GEMS/Water network of National and Collaborating Focal Points (NFPs and CFPs), consisting of those entities in Member States responsible for water quality monitoring.
